Andrew Sim

Ray White Aspley Sales Manager & Group Auctioneer

Andrew brings to Ray White a distinguished career in real estate spanning more than three decades and having worked for some of the countries most prestigious real estate companies both in Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew commenced his real estate career in Melbourne working initially in the Property Management department for D.J Ryan, a well established agency in Elsternhick before graduating onto sales in the early 1980’s.

Having established himself as a highly successful agent and auctioneer of properties on the bayside and eastern suburbs, Andrew was approached to join Hill and Parkinson in a management role where he soon increased the profile and market share of this business by way of growing a highly motivated and successful team of agents with a clear understanding that communication to both buyers and sellers is paramount in any negotiation and certainly fosters a better end result!

Andrew’s successes in Melbourne came to the attention of Harcourts in New Zealand who, in the mid 1990’s, offered Andrew a contract to move to New Zealand in a corporate role and set about changing the business model for many of their offices and with great success.

With over 2,000 auctions to his credit and having been responsible for the sale of over 1,000 properties, Andrew is understandably both a sought after auctioneer and agent of choice for many owners wanting to sell.

A return to Australia for family reasons brought Andrew into contact with the Ray White Northside Group where he now holds a position as Sales Manager in their flagship office together with having a responsibility across the group for auctions.

Married to Ellie they have two grown children here in Brisbane with whom they like to spend what little time they have on the weekends and otherwise 6.30 in the morning you can always catch Andrew out walking on the promenade in Scarborough and Redcliffe where they reside.

Andrews other great passion is learning to fly. Having trained in single engine aircraft Andrew is looking to further this flying activity from the Redcliffe Aero Club…but I’m not sure I would be a paying customer in his aeroplane just yet.
