Beverley Gibbons
Sales Professional, Ray White Aspley
Beverley brings to Ray White a strong business background having started and run her own businesses as well as having worked as the national buyer for a large wholesale company.
Beverley was born in Cape Town, South Africa and at an early age, moved to Singleton in country NSW where she completed her schooling before commencing work with a local firm of Solicitors. Twelve years later, she returned to South Africa due to family illness and what was intended to be a short stay turned into a 15 year residency as soon after arriving back in Capetown, she met her husband to be William and within the year they married.
Living in Cape Town and on the west coast, it was an idealic lifestyle. Their 2 sons thoroughly enjoyed growing up on the beach and surfing some of the best waves in South Africa. Being family orientated, Beverley stayed at home whilst her 2 sons, Ashley and Tristan, were growing up.
To keep herself occupied, she opened a playschool from home which she successfully ran for 14 years. During this time she made numerous friendships, many of whom were to become clients of hers later in life. Having outgrown the playschool as her children got older, Beverley then turned her entrepreneurial skills to the CMT business (Cut, Make & Trim) where she designed and sold corporate clothing to companies.
During this time period, Beverley also found time to buy and renovate a few homes and discovered that she had a good eye for picking properties that could be “value added to” quite easily and resold for a tidy profit.
This led to bigger and better things as friends and other investors asked her to assist them with similar projects. Soon, word of mouth led to her purchasing, renovating and selling numerous properties on behalf of clients and herself.
Changing times in South Africa led Beverley to move away from these activities and she joined a large real estate office in Cape Town specialising in residential real estate. Arriving in Australia in 2007, her sons commenced university with Ashley studying IT and Tristan pursuing a Film and Television Production degree. Beverley set about establishing the family home and having previously been successful in real estate, it was not surprising that she decided to pursue a real estate career here on the Northside of Brisbane. At Ray White , we are very aware that our reputation is based upon the skill and dedication of our people who so clearly “make the difference”.
