Robbie enjoyed growing up in a beautiful picturesque town of Rabaul on an Island of New Britain in the country of Papua New Guinea. His family surviving a volcanic eruption in 1994 evacuating and settling in Kokopo a small cocoa and coconut plantation town just 30 minutes outside of Rabaul, far enough from the volcanic activities. After loosing everything including generation of business in the eruption his family has rebuilt a successful hospitality business.
In the earlier years Robbie won a scholarship to be educated at St Peter's Lutheran College in Indooroopilly, as a boarder he learn to live in a different culture and new experiences. Apart from studying Robbie soon found himself taking part in most codes of sports which he loves, selected in A grade soccer, basketball, athletics and 1st XV Rugby team and soon earned a sport scholarship from the college. On Sundays he played rugby for Western suburb and was selected for the junior Qld rugby team.
After completing his high school education in Brisbane Robbie returned home to work where he soon found his niche for the real estate industry and moved in search for opportunity being offered to Port Moresby the capital of Papua New Guinea.
His first real estate sales job with an independent local office eventually change to Century 21 flag. And during this time Robbie flew to Cairns to attend the Sales person certificate in the late 1980s expanding his knowledge in the Industry.
Unfortunately due to the civil unrest in Port Moresby he and his young family moved to Brisbane for a few years and returned back to Port Moresby when things settled down.
In the mid 1990's Robbie assisted his friends to established the first Ray White office in Port Moresby operating successfully now for about 17 years . Robbie and his family had other goals and open his independent office and a travel marketing company travelling overseas promoting inbound tourism into Papua New Guinea for 10 years. While in Port Moresby Robbie was involved in charity with the Rotary International Club and that seemed to have paid off with umpteen contacts and referrals. A keen squash player winning gold medal for Papua New Guinea and today still plays socially for the Aspley local club.
With the children growing up Robbie reluctantly moved to Brisbane in 2009 as children's education was number one priority. Being aware of the unlimited opportunity and the lifestyle in this beautiful Sunshine State of Queensland, Robbie welcomes the challenge of the real estate industry in Brisbane. Residing in Kedron where his children was educated he started his career with Ray White Chermside for 3 years and looking at the bigger picture curiosity took him to several different location and demographic working as Business Development with different style of offices.
Although with 20 years of experience Robbie has always been curious and hungry to learn as the exciting real estate industry changes constantly so he looks forward to expand his knowledge with the Ray White Aspley Group a potential leader in the real estate industry.
