Abbott’s Barber SHOP is more than just a place to get your hair cut.
Even though the team will go above and beyond with the best styles (and simple trims and buzz cuts) and the right products for you, Abbott’s represents a proud history of barbers in
the local region.
The barber is owned by John Abbott, the latest in a long line of Abbotts to service Brisbane’s northside.
“The owner of this business comes from generations of barbers,” manager Mylinda Watts explained.
“His father was a barber, his brother is a barber, his son is a barber. It’s a family tradition that has been going since 1935.”
Being such a long-established business in the community means that Abbott’s gets plenty of repeat business and has a loyal following.
“I love my customers. I come and I talk to people all day long, I just cut hair to pass the time,” Mylinda said.
“It’s all about the customers and what’s happening in their lives. It becomes a family.”
