Did you know that Cold Rock Aspley is not your typical ice cream shop? It actually holds a place in national history.
Our local franchise was the very first Cold Rock to open in Australia 24 years ago, serving up thousands of different ice cream and gelato options.
That means while Aspley locals enjoy the sweet sensations on offer, others travel from far and wide to re-live their youth and introduce a new generation to Cold Rock.
“We have so many parents come in and say this is the first Cold Rock they visited when they were kids,” staff member Ethan Jones said.
“Now they bring their kids in.” Being in the community for so long, Cold Rock Aspley is proud to give back to locals as well.
“We have a bunch of certificates and vouchers that we hand out to local schools in the area, Aspley State School and Aspley Little Athletics and places like that,” Ethan said.
And all of the staff are happy to come into work every day as Cold Rock does not get many unhappy customers walk through the door. “Everybody that comes in is happy because everybody loves ice cream,” Ethan laughed.
